Type of Trail: Walking - Length of Trail: ¼ mile
This natural surface trail
was the first of its kind created by DRBA specifically for a county animal
shelter and inspired DRBA's "Tails on Trails" initiative to create
wooded trails for animal shelters. The public is welcome to visit the shelter
and inquire about taking a shelter dog for a walk on this beautiful forested
path. The trail is made possible by grant funding from REI and support from
Rockingham County and DRBA members.
While you're there, volunteer to take a shelter dog for a walk!
